Cathy Lauer, MS, LCSW is a professional herbalist and licensed psychotherapist with a private practice in New Jersey. Cathy teaches traditional uses of herbs as food and medicine, and is a frequent public speaker on uses of herbs for health. She considers it her mission to help bring Mother Nature back into our homes! In addition to over a decade experience as an Herbalist, Cathy is a Holistic Psychotherapist with 20 years of experience in Social Work, assisting couples and individual in their life journey. Cathy has a specialty in helping people with concerns around fertility, pregnancy,  post-partum and parenting.

Cathy earned a Masters Degree from Columbia University School of Social Work in 1984 and has worked professionally in New York and New Jersey in private practice and in medical, legal, and hospice settings. Cathy is the former Executive Director of United Neighbors of East Midtown in New York City. Cathy’s licensure & accreditation includes: Licensed Clinical Social Worker; Member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers; Member of the National Association of Social Workers since 1982; Professional Member of RESOLVE of New Jersey, serving on their Panel of Therapists.

Cathy’s professional training and Herbal Certification includes: Training and Apprenticeship over the past ten years with The Wise Woman Center, Evenstar Herbs, The Green Medicine Program, Heart Centered Diagnosis, and continuing education with nationally and internationally renowned herbalists. Cathy is a Charter Member of the American Botanical Council, a member of the Northeast Herbal Association, American Herbalist Guild, and United Plant Savers.
